Handles a wide selection of drums

The STS universal band assembly is modular and designed to adapt to a wide range of drum diameters. The unique design ensures full contact between the band and the drum, offering a safe securing system. The band segments can be adjusted from 350mm to 600mm in diameter, a unique STS feature.

If your facility handles a variety of drum types, ensuring secure, safe, and efficient operations is critical. With this model, steel, plastic and fibreboard drums from 50-220 litres can be handled within the universal band.

Unique securing system

Each stainless-steel manual drum rotator is supplied with a rim-clamp device that connects to the top edge of the drum. This second method of securing prevents any drum slippage within the head assembly; it is particularly useful when handling plastic drums, which can often be slippery and difficult to grip with a conventional drum band.

The rim clamp is extremely quick and easy to adjust - operators simply remove the securing pin, raise the clamp up or down based on the drum height, and then re-fit the securing pin.

Self-locking gearbox assembly

Our INOX manual drum rotators are always supplied with a self-locking rotational gearbox, preventing drums from moving when the rotation handle is released. The gearbox ratio is 120:1, making the rotation of heavy drums up to 350kg easy for all operators.

The drum rotator's gearbox handle is easy to access from the side of the machine and can be folded away when not in use to prevent it from catching on obstructions.

ATEX certified for gas and dust zones

Each manual-hydraulic and pneumatic-hydraulic drum rotator can be supplied ATEX-certified, suitable for use in zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. Our 'Ex' rated units are manufactured to ensure electrical continuity, and each piece of drum handling equipment is supplied with a manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity showing compliance with the directives and relevant British and ISO Standards.
